FINANCE SYSTEMS ANALYST

Natalie Lambie

"We spend most of our existence at work, so for office wear, not to be fashionable would be criminal."

Describe your job in a few lines?

A technical role in finance providing analysis and solutions for Financial Systems in the Legal sector. Applying techniques and programming to troubleshoot global incidents.

What’s been the highlight of your career so far?

In addition to my day job, I organise corporate events for our internal Women's Network of over 900 members. It's brilliant to be a part of inspiring women throughout the firm and facilitating the interaction and building of connections in a large company.

What piece of career advice would you give to your 20 year old self?

A Develop your inner geek as they run companies. Focus more on programming and data algorithm. It's cool to be smart. Buy the domain name fb.com because in 10 years' time you can retire.

Whose style do you admire the most?

I admire the effortless style of Emmanuelle Alt's formulaic blazer + jeans + killer heels = perfection. Alt is right on the button. Most people in the public eye hire a stylist to make them look great but Emmanuelle's style is not engineered. She wears little to no makeup and does understated sophistication brilliantly.

What has been your worst office fashion faux pas?

What has been your worst office fashion faux pas?
I have a non-client facing role, therefore tend to push corporate fashion to the edge, for instance a black puffball-inspired layered skirt with a neon coral top, although that does not constitute an office faux pas per se. I don't think I have ever had one. They tend to exist outside the corporate domain, far from the square mile.

Should office wear be fashionable or functional?

We spend most of our existence at work so for office wear not to be fashionable would be criminal; that said, I spend copious amounts of hours sat at a desk for it not to be functional. That is the beauty of Libby London, it is both fashionable and functional.
