Versatile Dressing ... Ascot
With June fast approaching, it's only fitting to mention Ascot. Just like a wedding, if you're going to Ascot this year, you might well have The Fear about what to wear. The perfect outfit should be comfortable but uncompromising on style or glamour, adhere to all the dress code guidelines, and in our opinion, be able to wear again! After all, you may as well invest in a dress that won't sit at the back of your wardrobe after Ladies' Day. See below for the Team Libby London Ascot Style Guide. We've featured 2 dresses we think would be perfect...
1. The Failsafe
For failsafe dressing at Ascot, go for a tonal palette that matches your dress. We've chosen the Willow Dress in Pale Pink - a real versatile pick for transitioning between occasion-wear to office wear easily. We've gone for a dramatic hat from Vivien Sheriff to push the Ascot glamour factor and finished off the look with Jimmy Choo Agnes pumps in a blush to tie in with the tones of the dress. Choose this for understated Ascot chic.
2. Accessory Clash
Black and blue worn together has been a huge trend for a few seasons, so don't be afraid to mix and match your black and navy accessories. We've gone for dark blue Jimmy Choos for this look with Wilder in Indigo - the perfect colour pop for Ascot. We've paired it with a fun, glittery fascinator (if you can't wear a glittery, feathery hat at Ascot, when can you?!) also from Viven Sheriff. Add a black or dark blue box clutch off to finish the look.
